Eight ways to save energy for air compressors

Air compressors are one of the general equipment in the manufacturing industry, and doing a good job in energy-saving management of air compressors is a must for enterprises to save electricity. In order to save the production cost of the enterprise, it is imminent for the enterprise to equip the air compressor with high energy efficiency. So how to make the air compressor energy-saving?
1. Control leakage
According to calculations, a small hole of 1mm², under the pressure of 7bar, the leakage rate is about 1.5L/S. Check all the delivery pipe network and gas consumption points, especially the joints, valves, etc., and deal with the leakage points in time.
2. Pressure drop management
Set up pressure gauges to detect pressure through pipeline segments, check your pressure drop in each section in detail, and check and maintain problematic pipe network sections in time. Generally, the pressure drop from the outlet of the air compressor to the gas point should not exceed 1 bar, and even strictly not more than 10%, that is, 0.7 bar. The pressure drop of the cold-dry filter section is generally 0.2 bar. The factory arranges a ring-shaped pipe network as much as possible to balance all points. Use gas pressure.
3. Adjust the pressure matching of gas equipment
Assess the pressure requirements of gas equipment, and try to reduce the exhaust pressure of the air compressor while ensuring production. Every time the exhaust pressure of the air compressor is reduced by 1 bar, the energy saving is about 7~10%.
4. Adjust unreasonable gas usage behavior
According to authoritative data, the utilization rate of electric energy of the air compressor is only about 10%, and about 90% is converted into heat energy and lost. It is necessary to evaluate the pneumatic equipment used in the factory to see if it can be solved by using electric methods. At the same time, the use of compressed air for routine cleaning should also be resolutely avoided.
5. Adopt centralized control mode
If the number of air compressors is small, one variable frequency air compressor can be used to adjust the pressure. If the number is large, centralized linkage control can be used to avoid the stepwise increase in exhaust pressure caused by the parameter setting of multiple air compressors.
6. Do a good job in equipment maintenance and cleaning
Increase the heat dissipation effect of the air compressor, the exchange effect of heat exchangers such as water cooling and air cooling, and keep the oil quality clean.
7. Air compressor waste heat recovery
Recover heat from air compressor oil system to prepare hot water for use in other processes or assisted living facilities.
8. Renovation or replacement of the drying system
The new drying equipment uses the residual heat of the compressed air to dry and dehydrate the compressed air, and the energy saving rate exceeds 80%.
