What are the specifications for the use of air compressor storage tanks

Dec 07, 2022

As a compressed air supply device, the air compressor is an indispensable part of every processing and manufacturing factory. As an indispensable post-processing equipment for air compressors, air storage tanks have also entered thousands of factories along with air compressors.

The gas storage tank is a pressure container for compressed gas. When the compressed air passes through the gas storage tank, the high-speed airflow hits the wall of the gas storage tank to make it confluence, and the temperature in the gas storage tank drops rapidly, so that a large amount of water vapor is liquefied. In this way, a large amount of water and oil can be removed, and a large amount of load on the cold dryer can be reduced, so that the compressed air can reach the workshop safely. It mainly plays the functions of buffering, cooling, water removal and energy storage. It is a very important equipment generated by compressed gas, so the following points must be paid attention to when operating and using:

1. Use elbows as little as possible to avoid reducing pressure.

2. It must be the lower end, the purpose is to reduce the water content in the gas.

3. Before driving, check that all protective devices and safety accessories are in good condition, check whether the lubricating oil surface of each place meets the standard, and do not drive if it does not meet the requirements.

4. Internal and external inspections of gas storage tanks and conduit joints are performed once a year, all periodic inspections and hydraulic strength tests are performed every three years, and detailed records must be made. Gas storage tanks that have not passed regular inspections must not be used.

5. When inspecting and repairing, care should be taken to prevent sawdust, iron filings, wipes, etc. from falling into the cylinder, gas storage tank and conduit.

6. Do not carry out any repair work when the machine is in operation or the equipment is under pressure.

7. The pressure gauge should be calibrated, sealed and kept in good condition every year. If it is found that the pointer cannot return to the zero position, the scale of the dial is unclear or broken during use, it should be replaced immediately. If there is abnormal sound, smell, vibration or failure during operation during work, stop the machine immediately and use it after inspection and repair.
